Bruce and Donna both have A+ personality; making your stay a memorable experience - Donna manages the inside; rooms, reservations etc. and Bruce is the outside guy - gardener extraordinaire, maintenance etc. then we both share the dining duties; cooking, serving, baking - we're in a competition over who makes the best tea biscuits
Our story....Once upon a time,
This was a private family home, built in 1997. My mom was born in Grand Bank, left for Ontario at 16 and came back to retire with my Dad 40 years later, in 1995 - they lived in the little cottage out front while Dad and a couple of my Mom's brothers (Ches & Arch) began to clear and build on this property. The business started in 2012 after my mom Abbie-Belle passed away. Dad knew this is where he wanted to be, to stay - Newfoundland was HOME but at 72 years young, he wanted/needed a little something to do to keep him busy. Then came the idea of a Bed and Breakfast. He began by converting empty storage over the garage (the LOFT) into 2 guest suites and decided to name the business after my Mom and her gardens. hence, "Abbie's Garden" Soon after opening, the business demand grew quickly, Dad needed more rooms and more help with the reservations etc. So in 2013 he renovated his workshop (the COTTAGE) into 2 more guest suites and I agreed to move down from Ontario, to come to his rescue, to be with him, to help out. Now we work & live happily ever after together, forever....
RECENT ADDITION during COVID years - we thought our guests would appreciate more Privacy so we added a PRIVATE 32' 2 bedroom RV to Abbie's Garden and perhaps there may be a Tiny home in our future, stay tuned, the story continues....

Each suite has a private entrance door off the shared space and another exit door in the room leading to the sun deck over looking our gardens

THE PETITE - located around the back of the Cottage - cozy "Petite" Queen room, double occupancy - Private entrance, Queen bed, 4 pc En suite bath with fridge and coffee/tea maker in room - access to Main house laundry facilities
